Specialty of KVK

In spite of all the mandate of KVK, 2 projects i.e. NICRA (National Initiative of Climate Resilient Agriculture) and Seed hub is successfully running in Chapra district. Under seed hub programme the seed of pulses is being grown at farmers plot in the supervision of KVK Scientists and purchased by KVK in order to increase the production of pulse seed. In the same manner under NICRA project which is running from 2011 in 2 villages “Affaur’ and “Darihara” in order to cope with climate change . every year about 50ha land is sown by zero tillage machine. At our KVK there are 5 demonstration units naming Mushroom Hut, Azola, Poly House, Shed Net, Vermicompost etc, demonstration unit helps farmers in getting skill under training programme.
